
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Officers with the Circleville Police Department handled a wide range of calls throughout April 1, including an arrest on a warrant, an injury crash, and multiple reports of threats and suspicious activity.
Police activity began in the early morning hours with routine patrols and a mutual aid response to a fire call on Ringgold Southern Road. That incident was handled on scene without the need for hospital transport.
Later in the morning, officers conducted a traffic stop on North Court Street that resulted in a citation. Shortly after, a suspect was taken into custody on a warrant along North Washington Street.
Authorities also responded to a disturbance and well-being check on Dearborn Avenue, where a report was taken. Throughout the day, officers addressed several parking complaints, civil matters, and alarm drops across the city.
One of the more serious incidents occurred just after 1 p.m. on Mingo Street, where police responded to an injury crash. Details on the extent of injuries were not immediately released.
Police also took reports involving threats and harassment on Fairview Boulevard and South Court Street, along with multiple calls regarding suspicious persons, particularly along East Ohio Street.
In the afternoon and evening hours, officers were dispatched to a possible drunk driver on East Main Street, which was referred to another agency, and a carbon monoxide call on Mulberry Road that was resolved on scene.
Additional calls included a runaway juvenile report, a vehicle repossession, and several 911 hang-ups that were determined to be accidental or unfounded.
The day concluded with another traffic stop on East Main Street, where a citation was issued.
Officials say the incidents remain under investigation where applicable.
