
Circleville officers handled 60 service calls across the city on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, ranging from extra patrols and well-being checks to fraud reports, thefts, and arrests.
The overnight hours were largely quiet, with dozens of extra patrols conducted throughout Court Street, Main Street, Pickaway Street, and other neighborhoods. Most of these patrols ended without incident.
Key incidents during the day included:
- Violation of Protection Order: Just before 5 a.m., police responded to Clark Drive and took a report regarding a protection order violation.
- Suspicious Circumstances: Officers investigated a report on Watt Street around 5:09 a.m., but the situation was gone on arrival.
- Fraud Complaints: Fraud reports were taken at 8:34 a.m. and again at 1:24 p.m., both within the city.
- Theft Cases: Police recorded two theft reports—one from East Union Street at 10:17 a.m. and another from Renick Avenue at 10:47 a.m.

- Disturbance Arrest: Around 2:43 p.m., a disturbance on North Court Street led to an arrest.
- Traffic Incidents: A hit-skip crash was reported on Atwater Avenue just after 4 p.m., followed by a found property report on South Court Street minutes later. Another hit-skip crash without injuries was reported at 7:46 p.m. on South Washington Street.
- Fight on U.S. 23: Around 7:22 p.m., police were called to U.S. 23 for reports of a fight. Information was gathered and a report was taken.
- Other Calls: Officers also handled neighbor trouble complaints on Walnut Street and Cedar Heights Road, assisted with civil paperwork service, and responded to multiple 911 hang-ups and alarm drops throughout the day.
Despite a heavy call load, many incidents were cleared as checked okay or handled as civil matters.
