
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a wide range of calls throughout the city on Monday, July 28, 2025, according to the department’s daily media report.
Among the 36 reported incidents were suspicious activity, a burglary in progress, a traffic accident with injuries, a theft, and multiple disturbances.
Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to E. Mound Street for a report of suspicious circumstances, but the subject was gone on arrival. Minutes later, a burglary in progress was reported on Watt Street, though the situation was ultimately checked and cleared by responding officers.
At approximately 2:51 a.m., an injury crash occurred on Georgia Road, requiring squad transport to the hospital. The names and condition of those involved were not released.
Throughout the day, police also responded to:
- A 911 accidental call on Clark Drive (10:17 a.m.)
- A domestic trouble call on Sumpter Avenue (10:38 a.m.)
- A warrant arrest made on Watt Street (12:36 p.m.)
- A disturbance on Watt Street, which resulted in a report being taken (12:47 p.m.)
- A theft report on South Court Street (7:39 p.m.)
Multiple traffic stops and civil process attempts were also conducted throughout the city, particularly on E. Ohio Street, S. Court Street, and Watt Street. Several of those attempts resulted in officers being unable to locate the subjects involved.
Later in the evening, officers responded to reports of trespassing and juvenile complaints on E. Mound Street, while calls for threats/harassment were logged on E. Main Street both earlier and later in the evening.
Despite the high volume of activity, there were no major arrests or ongoing threats reported by police.
