
CIRCLEVILLE, OH – July 30, 2025 – The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 34 incidents across the city on Tuesday, July 29, ranging from routine traffic stops to more serious reports of theft and stolen vehicles.
Among the day’s notable incidents:
- Breaking & Entering and Theft: Officers responded to a reported break-in on South Court Street at approximately 11:18 a.m. A report was filed as police continue to investigate the incident.
- Stolen Vehicles: Authorities took a report of a stolen vehicle on U.S. Route 23 just before 11:30 a.m., followed by a second stolen vehicle incident at 2:08 p.m. that led to an arrest.
- Juvenile Complaints: Multiple juvenile-related calls were received, including a report taken on Renick Avenue shortly after 1:30 p.m. and a later complaint on Clark Drive at 10:46 p.m. that did not result in a report.
- Threats and Harassment: Police were dispatched to East Mill Street and West High Street for threats or harassment calls, though neither resulted in formal reports.
- Extra Patrols & Traffic Stops: Officers conducted extra patrols throughout the early morning hours in areas such as North Court Street, Beaver Alley, and Lancaster Pike. Several traffic stops resulted in warnings issued, including stops on East Main Street, South Court Street, and U.S. 23.
- Civil and Miscellaneous Calls: Additional calls included a civil dispute on Sycamore Drive, an alarm drop on South Court Street, a fire call on Rosewood Avenue that checked out okay, and a 911 hang-up on East Main Street.
In one instance, the Circleville Fire Department was dispatched to assist with a fire call on North Court Street, but the request was cancelled before their arrival.
Overall, Tuesday’s activity reflects a wide range of routine and urgent policing efforts as Circleville officers continue to address public safety needs throughout the community.
