
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — July 11, 2025 — Circleville Police responded to a total of 28 incidents across the city on Thursday, July 10, ranging from thefts and vehicle repossessions to accidents and 911 hang-ups.
The day began in the early morning hours with two vehicle repossessions, one on Nicholas Square around 3:45 a.m. and another on Plaza Drive less than an hour later. Officers also handled multiple alarm drops throughout the day, including a fire/EMS-related alarm on Nicholas Drive and others on Sycamore Drive and Morris Road, all of which were cleared without incident.
Several 911 hang-ups were reported from various locations—including Roundtown Square, West High Street, and South Court Street—with officers determining that all were either accidental or the caller had left before police arrived.
Police responded to two theft reports, one on South Court Street and another on U.S. Route 23 South, both of which resulted in reports being filed. A juvenile complaint on North Court Street and a disturbance on the same street were also investigated, though in both cases, the individuals involved were gone before officers arrived.
Later in the evening, officers responded to an injury accident on North Pickaway Street, which resulted in a report being taken. A non-injury accident on East Mound Street was also reported, though the scene was clear by the time officers arrived.
Other notable calls included:
- Trespassing on South Court Street
- A well-being check on East Mound Street
- Vehicle lockout assistance on South Court Street
- Reports involving homeless individuals on South Washington Street and Barnes Avenue
- Found property incidents on both East Main Street and South Western Avenue
Several calls were also deferred to other agencies, including a traffic offense on U.S. 23 and an incident labeled “nature unknown.”
