
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (March 23, 2026) — The Circleville Police Department handled a heavy call volume over a three-day period from March 20 through March 22, responding to 111 incidents ranging from traffic stops and thefts to domestic disputes and fire calls.
Wide Range of Calls Across the City
Police activity included numerous extra patrol checks throughout neighborhoods, many of which were cleared without incident. Officers also conducted multiple traffic stops across the city, issuing both citations and warnings.
Among the more notable incidents:
- Crash and Arrest: Officers responded to a hit-skip crash on West Main Street early March 22, resulting in an arrest. Another non-injury crash was reported earlier on Court Street Connector.
- Domestic Incidents: Several domestic trouble calls were reported, including incidents on Logan Street, West Main Street, and East Franklin Street, with reports taken in multiple cases.
- Thefts Reported: Theft complaints were filed on Morris Road, Gale Court, U.S. 23, and other locations, with investigations ongoing.
- Structure Fires: Fire crews were called to structure fires on East Main Street and South Pickaway Street, both of which were contained without further escalation.
- Drunk Driving Enforcement: Officers issued a citation to a suspected impaired driver on Lancaster Pike, while another report of a drunk driver was unable to be located.
Additional Incidents
Police also responded to a variety of other calls, including:
- Suspicious persons and vehicles
- Welfare checks across multiple neighborhoods
- Alarm drops and 911 hang-ups
- Parking complaints and disabled vehicles
- Reports involving unruly juveniles and disorderly conduct
- Complaints involving dirt bikes and ATVs
In several cases, suspects were gone on arrival or could not be located, while others were resolved without formal reports.
