CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department had a busy day on Tuesday, August 6, 2025, responding to a total of 63 calls for service ranging from routine patrols to more serious incidents such as threats, domestic disputes, and traffic accidents.

Heavy Overnight Patrols and Community Safety Checks
The day began just after midnight with a series of extra patrols throughout the city, including locations such as North Court Street, Wood Lane, Logan Street, East and West Union Streets, and U.S. Route 23. Officers also conducted a well-being check and handled several traffic stops, including one that resulted in a warning and another involving an open door with no report taken.

Early Morning Incidents Include Trespassing and Juvenile Issues
At 2:44 a.m., police took a report of trespassing on Alma Avenue. Just after 4 a.m., officers responded to East Franklin Street for a report of an unruly juvenile. An alarm drop was also investigated on Harrison Street and deemed secure.

Mid-Morning: Domestic Trouble and Injury Accident
Later in the morning, officers responded to a domestic incident on Pleasant Street and an injury accident on U.S. Route 23. Multiple suspicious person reports were received, though several subjects were gone upon officers’ arrival.

Parking Complaints and Threats Dominated Midday Reports
Throughout the late morning and early afternoon, police responded to several parking complaints on Barry Drive and Lancaster Pike, as well as incidents involving harassment and threats on South Court Street, Sycamore Drive, and Fairview Boulevard. Two non-injury traffic accidents resulted in citations issued on South Court Street and Morris Road.

Evening Brings Juvenile Concerns and Civil Process Attempts
In the evening hours, police handled a runaway report on Clinton Street and an incident involving neighbor trouble on Pershing Drive. Officers attempted to serve civil paperwork at several addresses, with mixed success.

Late-Night Activity Closes Out the Day
As the day wound down, officers responded to a trespassing call on North Court Street, a roadblock on East Mill Street, and a suspicious vehicle on U.S. 23 that had left the area before officers arrived.

Despite the volume of calls, officers ensured the safety and order of the community, issuing citations, warnings, and taking reports as necessary. The police department continues its commitment to maintaining peace throughout Circleville and encourages residents to report suspicious activity.
