
CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Police Department handled 49 calls for service on Thursday, August 14, ranging from extra patrols and traffic stops to stolen vehicle reports and an arrest in a fight.
Overnight and Morning Activity
Officers conducted numerous extra patrols across the city, including along Villa Drive, Bolens Avenue, East Franklin Street, and Main Street. Shortly after 2:20 a.m., a report of a protection order violation was taken on South Washington Street.
At 7:14 a.m., officers responded to East Franklin Street for a report of a stolen vehicle and missing juvenile, but were unable to locate the subjects. Later in the morning, police investigated a fraud complaint on North Court Street and responded to several animal calls.
Afternoon Incidents
A stolen vehicle report was taken from Island Road, and officers recovered found property on Lincoln Avenue. Just before 4 p.m., police made an arrest following a reported fight on East Franklin Street.
Traffic enforcement throughout the day included multiple stops, with one citation issued on Lancaster Pike.
Evening Calls
Officers investigated suspicious person reports, responded to a threats/harassment complaint on North Court Street, and checked on several alarm drops. A report of a homeless person on Morris Road was gone upon arrival.
Several incidents remain under investigation.
