CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to a total of 47 service calls on Monday, August 5, 2025, ranging from extra patrols and animal complaints to theft, property damage, and a reported stolen vehicle.

Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted a series of extra patrols across various neighborhoods including Court Street, Watt Street, Hayward Street, and Union Street. All patrols were marked as “checked okay” with no incidents reported.

At 5:57 a.m., a property damage report was filed on North Court Street, followed by an animal complaint on Walnut Creek Pike at 6:58 a.m., though officers were unable to locate the animal.

Later in the morning, police responded to a trespassing complaint on West Main Street and recovered found property on West Mill Street. At 10:41 a.m., a stolen vehicle was reported on East Main Street, prompting an active investigation.

Additional reports included:

  • A juvenile complaint on Pleasant Street at 1:00 p.m.
  • A theft report on North Court Street at 1:51 p.m.
  • Suspicious circumstances on East Mill Street at 2:28 p.m.

  • Threats/harassment on North Court Street at 6:21 p.m.
  • Runaway report on West Franklin Street at 8:56 p.m.

Officers also responded to multiple well-being checks, some of which resulted in no contact being made with the individuals involved.

Animal calls were referred to other agencies, and several complaints — including parking issues, neighbor trouble, and juvenile incidents — required no formal reports.

The department’s response reflects a mixture of community safety monitoring, incident investigation, and public service support. Many calls were resolved on scene without need for further action.

The stolen vehicle and threats reports remain under investigation.
