The Circleville Police Department handled 38 calls for service on February 23, according to the department’s daily media report.

Officers conducted numerous extra patrols throughout the city during the overnight and early morning hours, checking areas including Renick Avenue, Lancaster Pike, U.S. 23, East Circle Lane, South Court Street, Walnut Street, Springhollow Road, Clark Drive and East Main Street. Most of those patrols were listed as “checked okay.”

A warrant-related call on Renick Avenue just after midnight and a message delivery attempt on Nicholas Drive later that morning were both marked “Gone on Arrival/Unable to Locate.”

Police responded to a domestic trouble complaint on South Court Street at 9:34 a.m., but the involved parties were gone before officers arrived.

Around midday, officers were dispatched for a mutual aid fire request on Tarlton-Adelphi Road. The call was canceled before crews arrived on scene.

Several reports were taken throughout the day, including a parking complaint on South Pickaway Street, a property damage incident on West High Street, and a theft complaint on South Pickaway Street later in the afternoon. Additional property damage calls were reported on U.S. 23 and West High Street.

Officers also handled multiple probation complaints on West High Street, Villa Drive and Mace Drive, all of which were cleared.

Other calls for service included well-being checks, trespassing, traffic stops, alarm drops and several 911 hang-ups. Most were resolved without further incident or did not require formal reports.

The department also conducted late-night extra patrols on East Circle Lane and Lancaster Pike to close out the day.
