
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department was busy throughout Wednesday, August 7, 2025, responding to a wide range of incidents across the city. In total, officers handled 35 calls for service, according to the department’s daily media report.
Multiple extra patrols were conducted during the early morning hours on streets including Third Avenue, Logan Street, Watt Street, Union Street, and South Pickaway Street. All areas checked out without incident.
Several more serious calls came in later in the day:
- At 4:51 a.m., officers and medics responded to a traffic accident with injury on East Main Street. One individual was transported to a local hospital.
- A non-injury crash was reported at 9:40 p.m. on North Court Street, where a citation was issued.
- Another injury accident occurred just after 10 p.m. on East Union Street. A report was taken.
- Officers also responded to two reports of fights, including one on Sumpter Avenue around 2:22 p.m., which was cleared without further issue. A second call on North Court Street at 10:56 p.m. resulted in no contact as the individuals had left before officers arrived.
- Several well-being checks were performed throughout the day, most resulting in subjects being found safe.
- A juvenile complaint on Lancaster Pike at 3:09 p.m. resulted in a report, while a later call on East Main Street shortly before midnight did not require one.
- A trespassing call on East Mound Street at 3:07 p.m. was investigated but cleared.
Other incidents included vehicle lockouts, parking complaints, traffic stops, a civil dispute, and an alarm drop.
The department noted that all calls were handled appropriately, with some leading to reports, citations, or referrals to other agencies.
