
Circleville, Ohio — Circleville police officers were kept busy throughout the day and night on January 7, responding to 34 calls for service across the city, according to the department’s daily media report released Thursday.
In the early morning hours, officers conducted multiple extra patrols on streets including East Franklin Street, Mace Drive, Springhollow Road, Clark Drive, and Rustic Court, with all checks reported as OK. Several 911 hang-up calls were reported on Gale Court and other locations, though officers were unable to locate an emergency in some cases.
Police also responded to a variety of routine and public safety-related incidents throughout the day. These included a traffic stop on South Scioto Street, a report of a homeless person on North Court Street, and an alarm drop involving Fire/EMS on Gale Court that was cleared without issue.
Later in the morning, officers investigated a reported burglary on Clark Drive and responded to a hit-skip crash with no injuries. Additional non-injury crashes were reported on East Franklin Street. Officers also took reports involving found property along U.S. 23 and a “nature unknown” call on Gale Court.
Several well-being checks were conducted throughout the city on South Court Street, Stoutsville Pike, Stoneridge Drive, Stella Avenue, and South Washington Street. Some of those checks resulted in no contact, while others were cleared without incident.
As the evening progressed, officers handled calls involving a fight on South Court Street, reports of possible drunk drivers along Lancaster Pike, suspicious activity on Villa Drive, and a barking dog complaint. The day concluded with officers taking a report for a domestic trouble call on South Court Street shortly before midnight.
Police noted that while many calls did not require formal reports, officers remained active throughout the community addressing concerns and ensuring public safety.
