Circleville Police Respond to 33 Calls for Service Thursday

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department handled 33 calls for service on February 12, 2026, ranging from extra patrol checks and traffic details to reports of threats, a protection order violation, and a non-injury crash.

Overnight Patrols

Officers conducted multiple extra patrols during the early morning hours on Clark Drive, Springhollow Road, Meadow Drive, East Main Street, South Pickaway Street, East Union Street, and East Circle Lane. All locations were checked and found to be secure.

Traffic details were also conducted throughout the day on North Court Street.

Reports and Investigations

At 9:03 a.m., officers responded to East Union Street for an animal-related call, which was cleared.

Police took a trespassing report at 10:38 a.m. on North Pickaway Street.

Shortly after noon, a threats and harassment complaint was reported on Hayward Avenue, with a report taken.

An open door was investigated on East Mill Street around 12:52 p.m., and officers determined everything was secure.

At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to Tower Court for a reported violation of a protection order. A report was taken and the case remains under investigation.

Welfare Checks and Juvenile Complaint

Officers conducted multiple well-being checks throughout the day, including on Dunkle Road and Atwater Avenue. One call on Dunkle Road resulted in officers being unable to locate anyone at the scene.

A juvenile complaint on Logan Street also resulted in officers being unable to locate the individuals involved.

Traffic and Accidents

A traffic stop on Edison Avenue at 6:06 p.m. resulted in a warning being issued.

At 8:19 p.m., officers responded to a reported traffic jam or roadblock on South Court Street and took a report.

Later that evening, at 9:13 p.m., officers responded to a non-injury crash on West Main Street. A citation was issued.

Fire and Alarm Calls

Police assisted with an alarm drop on Watt Street that was canceled prior to arrival and another alarm on East Ohio Street that was checked and cleared.

A structural fire was reported on Fairview Boulevard at 9:17 p.m., but the call was cleared.

Domestic and 911 Hang-Ups

Officers responded to a domestic trouble call on Elm Avenue at 10:16 p.m., which was checked and cleared.

Several 911 hang-up calls were also logged throughout the day, with officers responding to ensure there were no emergencies.

In total, Circleville Police responded to 33 incidents on February 12. Several reports were taken, and investigations remain ongoing where applicable.
