Circleville Police Respond to 30 Incidents on May 12, Including Arrests, Traffic Stops, and Juvenile Complaints

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department handled 30 calls for service on Sunday, May 12, 2025, addressing a variety of incidents ranging from routine traffic stops to juvenile disturbances and arrests.

Arrests and Citations

  • Police made two arrests throughout the day. One occurred on South Court Street at 9:55 a.m. following a probation complaint, and another was made at 10:46 p.m. on South Court Street involving a suspicious vehicle.
  • Citations were issued during traffic stops on North Court Street at 1:36 a.m. and East Ohio Street at 7:42 p.m., while additional stops on South Court Street and South Pickaway Street resulted in warnings.

Juvenile-Related Activity

  • Officers responded to multiple juvenile complaints between 4:29 p.m. and 6:27 p.m., with incidents reported on Town Street, East Mound Street, South Pickaway Street, and South Court Street. Only one of these calls led to an official report being filed, while others were either unfounded or the individuals were gone on arrival.

Emergency and 911 Responses

  • At least seven 911-related calls were received. Most were determined to be accidental dialings, including those on East Ohio Street, Clinton Street, Lynwood Avenue, Pershing Drive, and Duroc Street. All were checked and cleared with no further issues.

Additional Incidents

  • A hit-skip crash was reported at 7:56 p.m. on U.S. 23, prompting a police report.
  • A threats/harassment complaint on U.S. 23 and a fraud report on Pacer Court did not result in formal reports.
  • Officers also responded to a vehicle lockout, nuisance complaint, and a fire department call, all of which were resolved without incident.
  • A report of lines or poles down on South Scioto Street was referred to the appropriate utility agency.

Circleville authorities continue to respond to a mix of criminal and non-criminal calls daily, with a strong focus on community safety and rapid response.
