Circleville Police Respond to 139 Calls Over Busy Weekend

CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Police Department had a busy stretch over the weekend of September 12–14, 2025, handling a wide range of calls including burglaries, thefts, fights, traffic offenses, and several injury crashes.

The activity began early Friday morning with multiple extra patrols across Stella Avenue, Main Street, Court Street, and other neighborhoods. By 6:46 a.m. Friday, officers were called to North Court Street on a suspicious circumstance that turned into a burglary report. A warrant arrest followed shortly after on East Union Street.

Later in the day, officers responded to traffic crashes on South Court Street and U.S. 23, including a hit-skip accident. Reports of thefts were taken from East Circle Lane and East Mound Street, while disturbances and harassment complaints were logged on Sumpter Avenue, Dunmore Road, and U.S. Route 23.

On Saturday, September 13, officers were dispatched to Eastmoor Avenue for a burglary in progress, which resulted in a report. Police also handled a domestic trouble call on East Franklin Street, multiple neighbor disputes on Third Avenue and Barnes Avenue, and a violation of a protection order on Caroline Court. Juvenile complaints were reported on Gumm Place and West Franklin Street, while officers also conducted several business checks and extra patrols through the night.

The weekend concluded on Sunday, September 14, with several more notable incidents. Police investigated a theft on East Corwin Street, a breaking and entering on West Main Street, and vandalism on East Ohio and South Court streets. Officers also responded to fights, harassment complaints, suspicious circumstances, and two injury crashes on South Court Street and East Ohio Street.

In total, Circleville officers logged 139 service calls over the three-day span, ranging from routine patrols and welfare checks to serious crimes and traffic accidents. Many cases remain under investigation.
