  • Protection Order Violation: Late in the evening, at 10:55 p.m., police were called to Wilson Avenue regarding a violation of a protection order. A report was taken for potential charges.

Domestic and Emergency Responses

The evening hours saw an uptick in high-priority calls:

  • Domestic Trouble: At 8:49 p.m., units were dispatched to US Route 23 on a report of domestic trouble. Officers took a formal report at the scene.
  • Fire and Alarms: Fire and EMS units were called to Town Street at 8:47 p.m. for a reported fire, which was successfully cleared shortly after. Earlier in the day, a fire alarm on Half Avenue was checked and found to be okay.
  • Attempted Burglary: A “Burglary in Progress” was reported on Avon Drive at 7:42 a.m., though officers noted that no report was ultimately taken following the initial investigation.

Patrol and Traffic Summary

Between midnight and 6:00 a.m., Circleville officers conducted eight “Extra Patrols” focusing heavily on East Main Street and East Mill Street to ensure business and residential security.

Traffic remained relatively stable throughout the holiday, with one traffic offense on US 23 handed over to another agency and a final traffic stop on Half Avenue just before midnight resulting in a warning.
