CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police are investigating after a 3-year-old child was found naked and alone near Crites Road Thursday morning.
According to initial reports, officers were dispatched after a caller reported a small child wandering in the area without clothing or supervision. When police arrived, they found the child and immediately requested emergency medical assistance.
The child, described as cold but conscious, was transported by squad to Berger Hospital for evaluation and was later expected to be transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus for further care.
Officers went to a nearby home believed to be the child’s residence, but no one answered the door. As a result, Child Protective Services has been contacted and is assisting with the investigation.
The case remains under investigation by the Circleville Police Department and child welfare authorities.
