Circleville Police Handle Thefts, Harassment, and Multiple Patrols on September 15

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — September 16, 2025 — Circleville Police officers responded to a wide range of calls throughout the city on Monday, September 15, handling everything from thefts and harassment complaints to extra patrols and routine traffic stops.

The day began with a series of extra patrol checks across North Pickaway Street, York Street, Harwich Road, and State Route 188, all of which were reported as clear. Officers also conducted several traffic stops, issuing warnings.

Significant incidents reported during the day included:

  • Theft on Logan Street (10:14 a.m.) — Report taken.
  • Domestic trouble on North Court Street (10:23 a.m.) — Report taken.
  • Threats and harassment calls on Lewis Avenue (10:55 a.m.), South Pickaway Street (3:30 p.m.), Walnut Street (6:08 p.m.), East Franklin Street (8:06 p.m.), and South Washington Street (11:01 p.m.) — All resulted in reports taken.
  • Accidents — A non-injury crash was reported on South Western Avenue (9:22 a.m.) and another on West Main Street (1:01 p.m.), with the latter resulting in a citation.
  • Suspicious activity — Officers investigated a suspicious person on Brown Street at 5:51 a.m., but the subject was gone before arrival. A suspicious vehicle and circumstances were also checked but cleared without issue.
  • Well-being check — Conducted on South Pickaway Street at 9:41 a.m., but the subject was not located.

In total, Circleville Police handled 48 calls for service throughout the day, balancing routine patrols with more serious reports involving public safety and citizen concerns.
