CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police officers responded to more than 80 calls for service between Friday, November 7, and Sunday, November 9, according to the department’s latest activity log. The reports include a range of incidents such as domestic troubles, traffic violations, suspicious activity, and multiple alarm drops throughout the city.
Among the more serious calls, officers were dispatched to Lewis Avenue early Saturday morning for a breaking and entering, where a report was taken, and the investigation remains ongoing. Later that morning, a fight on Pontious Lane also led to a police report.
Throughout the weekend, officers handled several domestic-related incidents, including calls on Rustic Drive, Half Avenue, E. Ohio Street, and Clark Drive, with some cases resulting in formal reports and others deemed unfounded when officers arrived. A violation of a protection order was also reported late Saturday night on Sycamore Drive, followed shortly by an assault investigation.
Traffic enforcement remained steady, with officers issuing multiple warnings and citations during stops on E. Main Street, Walnut Street, and E. Ohio Street. One non-injury accident on South Court Street resulted in a citation.
Police also responded to several 911 hang-ups, suspicious person calls, and false alarms across the city, all of which were checked and cleared without incident.
The department conducted frequent extra patrols and business checks, particularly along Court Street, Main Street, and Pickaway Street, as part of its ongoing commitment to community safety.
A threats and harassment incident on W. High Street Sunday afternoon led to an arrest, marking one of the few apprehensions over the weekend.
The Circleville Police Department continues to investigate several of the weekend’s cases. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity by contacting the department’s non-emergency line.
