CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police were kept busy over Halloween weekend, responding to more than 90 incidents between October 31 and November 2, 2025. Calls ranged from domestic troubles and thefts to traffic stops, alarm drops, and welfare checks throughout the city.

The weekend began early Friday morning with multiple extra patrols across North Court Street, East Franklin Street, and Edgewood Drive. Officers later responded to a domestic disturbance on South Court Street just after 1 a.m. Friday, taking a report in the matter.

Later that morning, police investigated a breaking and entering report and a suspicious person on Highland Avenue. A separate property damage complaint was logged on Clark Drive, and officers conducted numerous alarm checks along U.S. 23 and East Ohio Street, all of which were found to be secure.

Friday afternoon brought a juvenile complaint on East Franklin Street, several traffic stops — including one on Dunmore Road that resulted in an arrest — and a fire call on Montclair Avenue that was ultimately cleared.

Officers were back at it Saturday, November 1, fielding calls about fraud, theft, and domestic trouble. A theft report was taken on Willow Lane, and a well-being check on Lancaster Pike led to an arrest. Later that evening, police took another domestic report on Gumm Place and responded to threats and harassment reported on East Main Street.

On Sunday, November 2, officers handled several noise complaints, traffic stops, and disturbances throughout the night. They also took reports for hit-skip property damage on Watt Street, a fight on John Street, a theft and harassment incident on South Court Street, and a stolen vehicle reported on East Franklin Street.

The department also logged several calls involving homeless individuals, fraud complaints, and suicide threats, many of which were cleared or handled by other agencies.

No major injuries were reported, and many investigations remain ongoing.
