CIRCLEVILLE — Circleville police responded to a wide range of calls Monday, August 11, 2025, from extra patrol checks to reports of burglary, vandalism, and fraud.

The day began just after midnight with a series of extra patrols across the city, including Logan Street, East Union Street, Lancaster Pike, West Main Street, and North Court Street. Around 12:18 a.m., officers were dispatched to Lancaster Pike on a report of a burglary in progress, but the situation checked okay.

Traffic stops throughout the day resulted in several warnings, and officers also handled multiple juvenile complaints — one on South Court Street and another on East Franklin Street, the latter leading to a report being filed.

In addition, police responded to domestic trouble calls on Kingston Court, where a report was taken, and on U.S. Route 23, where no report was filed. Other incidents included property damage on South Court Street, vandalism on East Union Street, and a violation of a protection order on Clark Drive.

Emergency crews were also dispatched to Lancaster Pike for a fire/EMS alarm drop, with one person transported to the hospital.

Later in the evening, officers took a fraud report from East Main Street and responded to a threats/harassment complaint on Lancaster Pike.

The department also handled multiple civil process services, parking complaints, property releases, and suspicious person checks. In total, Circleville police logged 50 service calls for the day.
