Circleville Police Handle 96 Calls for Service Over Three Days

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (March 2, 2026) — The Circleville Police Department responded to 96 calls for service between February 27 and March 1, according to the department’s latest media report.

Early Morning Patrols and Traffic Enforcement

The reporting period began with a series of extra patrols across neighborhoods including East Circle Lane, North Court Street, Clark Drive, Springhollow Road and East Mill Street. All were checked and cleared without incident.

Officers conducted multiple traffic stops throughout the three-day period, issuing several citations and warnings on streets including West Main, East Main, East Ohio and Barnes Avenue.

Police also investigated a report of a drunk driver on U.S. 23 on the morning of February 27, but the vehicle was gone on arrival and unable to be located.

Accidents and Property Damage

Several non-injury crashes were reported, including incidents on East Main Street and Island Road. One hit-skip crash resulted in a citation. An injury accident on U.S. 23 was handled by another agency.

Officers also responded to multiple property damage complaints on streets such as Dearborn Avenue, Garden Parkway and Nicholas Drive.

Domestic Incidents and Protection Order Violations

Police took reports for domestic trouble on Stella Avenue, South Court Street and Lewis Avenue.

A violation of a protection order was reported on Clinton Street on February 27 and again on South Washington Street on March 1. Both incidents resulted in reports being taken.

Arrests, Warrants and Criminal Investigations

An arrest was made late February 27 after officers investigated a suspicious vehicle on Lancaster Pike.

Police also took reports involving theft, breaking and entering on Caroline Court, and a warrant investigation on East Franklin Street. Several theft complaints were later determined to be civil matters.

Community and Miscellaneous Calls

Officers handled a wide range of additional calls including well-being checks, alarm drops, juvenile complaints, a carbon monoxide call, a 911 hang-up, animal complaints and civil process paperwork service.

Fire and EMS crews responded to several alarm drops, with one individual transported to the hospital on March 1 from Lancaster Pike. Other calls were handled on scene without transport.

Several incidents, including homeless person complaints and miscellaneous disturbances, were resolved without further action.

Police say many of the cases remain under investigation, while others were cleared at the scene.
