Circleville Police Handle 37 Calls on July 15, Including Traffic Stops, Thefts, and Civil Paper Attempts

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — July 16, 2025
Circleville Police were active throughout the city on Tuesday, July 15, responding to a total of 37 calls for service that spanned everything from traffic stops and suspicious vehicles to a reported theft and a domestic incident.

Early Morning Patrol and Traffic Stops
Officers issued multiple traffic citations and warnings in the early morning hours, including stops on South Court Street, East Main Street, and South Pickaway Street. Extra patrols were conducted across locations such as North Court Street, US 23, and East Franklin Street, with all checks reported as secure.

Midday Activity Involves Property Complaints and Non-Injury Accident
A vehicle repossession was confirmed on John Street around 7 a.m., and later, narcotics were discovered with found property on East Ohio Street, though no report was filed. Officers also handled parking complaints on Maplewood Avenue and East Franklin Street.
A non-injury accident on East Ohio Street resulted in an official report, while property damage and a well-being check on North Court Street were handled without reports filed.

Afternoon and Evening: Theft and Attempted Civil Papers
A reported theft on South Washington Street led to an official report. Officers also responded to two 911 hang-ups, both found to be accidental or otherwise resolved without further concern.

The evening saw several unsuccessful attempts to deliver civil process papers across multiple addresses including Caroline Court, Wilson Avenue, Lynwood Avenue, and Rustic Drive—all marked as “Gone on Arrival” or “Unable to Locate.”

Other Calls and Close of Day
A suspicious vehicle reported on McCrea Avenue and a domestic trouble call on Pleasant Street were resolved without police reports. The final call of the day came just before midnight, involving a traffic stop on North Court Street, where a warning was issued.
