Circleville Police Handle 35 Calls on December 9, Including Multiple Domestic Incidents, Alarms, and Thefts

CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Police Department responded to 35 calls for service on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, ranging from alarm drops and theft reports to several domestic disturbances.

The early morning hours were filled with extra patrols across South Court Street, West Main Street, East Mound Street, and South Scioto Street. Officers also handled two accidental calls for service and investigated a suspicious person on Dearborn Avenue, which was found to be unfounded.

At 7:59 a.m., emergency crews responded to an alarm drop on East Ohio Street, later cleared as a Fire/EMS call. Shortly after, officers handled an animal call on Avon Drive and a fire department complaint on Atwater Avenue.

Late morning activity included a disabled vehicle on Cedar Heights Road and two domestic trouble calls—one on Walnut Street involving a theft report, and another on Barry Drive. A parking complaint on Mulberry Road required no report.

Around 12:30 p.m., officers responded to US Route 23 for a fraud report. At 3:13 p.m., a domestic disturbance on Timberline Drive resulted in one arrest.

Throughout the late afternoon and early evening, police handled a variety of calls including a parking complaint on Watt Street, an animal call on South Scioto Street, theft reports on North Pickaway Street and East Franklin Street, and neighbor trouble on South Scioto Street. A juvenile complaint on West Main Street resulted in officers being unable to locate the individuals.

Evening calls included a suspicious person on Watt Street, a traffic jam on South Pickaway Street, an alarm drop on U.S. 23, and a 911 hang-up on Lancaster Pike, which checked okay. Officers also responded to a warrant call on U.S. 23 South and an accidental alarm drop on East Main Street.

At 9:01 p.m., officers investigated a suspicious vehicle on North Court Street, but it was gone on arrival. Near the end of the night, police handled suspicious circumstances on East Mound Street, issued a traffic citation during a stop on South Pickaway Street, and took a domestic trouble report on Georgia Road at 11:12 p.m.

In total, Circleville Police documented 35 calls for service on Tuesday.
