CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department responded to 150 calls for service between December 18 and December 21, 2025, according to a media call-for-service report released this week.

During the four-day period, officers handled a wide range of incidents, including traffic stops, thefts, disturbances, alarms, civil matters, and multiple extra patrols throughout the city. Several traffic stops resulted in warnings, while others led to arrests, including stops on U.S. Route 23, Barnes Avenue, South Washington Street, and South Court Street.

Police also investigated multiple theft reports across the city, including incidents on North Court Street, South Scioto Street, Ray Avenue, and East Ohio Street. Property damage reports were taken on Villa Drive and Lancaster Pike, and several non-injury crashes were reported, including hit-skip accidents on West Main Street, North Court Street, and Nicholas Drive.

More serious calls included a breaking and entering reported on North Court Street on December 21, as well as a violation of a protection order reported on Avon Drive later that morning. Officers also responded to multiple threats and harassment complaints, disturbances, and suspicious person calls during the reporting period.

In addition to enforcement and investigations, police conducted numerous business checks, extra patrols, and welfare checks, many of which were cleared without incident. Several 911 hang-up calls were investigated and determined to be accidental or resolved on scene.

The report also shows frequent coordination with the Circleville Fire Department and emergency medical services for alarm drops, fire-related mutual aid requests, and mental health or squad responses, most of which did not require transport.

Circleville police say the call volume reflects routine activity for this time of year and encourage residents to continue reporting suspicious activity to help keep neighborhoods safe.
