Circleville Police Handle 134 Calls Over the Weekend

CIRCLEVILLE — City police were kept busy over the weekend of September 26–28, responding to 134 calls for service ranging from traffic stops to serious investigations.

Officers conducted dozens of extra patrols and business checks throughout the city but also handled several major incidents. Among the reports taken were:

  • Accidents: Police responded to injury crashes on North Court Street, Norfolk Avenue, and Nicholas Drive. Several non-injury wrecks were also logged on South Pickaway Street and East Main Street.
  • Crimes & Disturbances: Reports included burglary on Logan Street, breaking and entering on East Corwin Street, theft on Hayward Avenue, vandalism on East Franklin Street, and property damage on McCulloch Avenue.
  • Protection Orders: Two separate violations of protection orders were reported—one on Pontious Lane and another on Walnut Street.
  • Juvenile Complaints: Multiple calls involving juveniles were made across the city, with one incident on Gumm Place resulting in a squad transport to the hospital.
  • Harassment & Threats: Officers took reports of threats and harassment on South Pickaway Street, East Main Street, Atwater Avenue, and Mace Drive.
  • Other Calls: Police also investigated suspicious vehicles and persons, alarm drops, well-being checks, animal complaints, and fraud cases.

While many calls resulted in no reports or were cancelled before officers arrived, police issued numerous traffic warnings, responded to domestic troubles, and assisted with mutual aid requests.
