CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department handled a wide-ranging volume of calls on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, ranging from routine extra patrols in the early morning hours to a high-priority burglary call late Tuesday night.

In total, officers responded to 43 incidents over the 24-hour period, according to the latest Media Calls For Service (CFS) report.

⚖️ Criminal Activity and Arrests

The most significant police action occurred Tuesday afternoon on East Main Street. At 2:06 p.m., officers successfully executed a warrant arrest. This followed an earlier, unsuccessful attempt to locate a wanted individual on US 23 around 1:00 p.m.

The evening hours saw an uptick in reports of criminal mischief and personal safety concerns:

  • Vandalism: Two reports of vandalism were logged—one on South Pickaway Street at 1:24 p.m. (report taken) and another on Walnut Street at 10:10 p.m.
  • Theft & Threats: A theft report was filed on South Washington Street just after noon, and a report for threats/harassment was taken following an incident on Pleasant Street at 4:28 p.m.
  • Burglary Call: The night ended with a high-tension call at 11:06 p.m. on Timberline Drive regarding a burglary in progress. However, officers cleared the scene with no report taken, suggesting the situation was resolved or the call was unfounded.

🏃 Juvenile and Domestic Concerns

Circleville officers were also tasked with several sensitive juvenile matters on East Franklin Street. After responding to a report of an unruly juvenile at 6:49 p.m., police were called back to the same street an hour later at 7:51 p.m. for a runaway incident, which resulted in a formal report.

🚔 Traffic Enforcement and Public Safety

Throughout the day, the department maintained a heavy presence on the roads and in residential neighborhoods:

  • Traffic Stops: Seven traffic stops were conducted. While most resulted in warnings, one citation was issued on East Main Street at 10:50 p.m., and a full report was taken following a stop on South Court Street earlier in the evening.
  • Extra Patrols: Officers conducted nearly 20 “Extra Patrols” throughout the night, focusing heavily on East Main Street, Highland Avenue, and Clinton Street, with all locations checking out “Okay.”
  • Suspicious Activity: Police investigated a suspicious person on US 23 South at 4:20 a.m. but found no illegal activity.

🐕 Animal and Miscellaneous Calls

The department also handled various community issues, including a barking dog complaint on Parklawn Drive and an animal call on East Main Street late Tuesday night that required a report. A vehicle repossession was also documented on West Main Street during the afternoon hours.
