Chillicothe Police Respond to Warrants, Vehicle Theft, Car Fire and Multiple Complaints

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on February 15, including warrant arrests, a reported stolen vehicle, aggravated menacing, and a vehicle fire that led to an arrest.

Early Morning Warrant Arrest

At approximately 2:28 a.m., officers were dispatched to 94 N. Brownell Street in reference to a male with an active warrant. The incident also involved a charge of obstructing official business.

Trespass and Welfare Check

Around 7:20 a.m., police responded to McDonald’s at 40 N. Bridge Street after receiving a report of a person refusing to leave the business. The incident was classified as criminal trespass and remains under investigation.

Later that morning, officers conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Orange Street. That matter remains under investigation.

Additional Complaints and Threat Report

Police were dispatched to the Law Enforcement Complex on North Paint Street just before 11 a.m. in reference to a complaint.

At approximately 1:24 p.m., officers took a report involving obstructing official business and making false alarms related to a complaint on Buckeye Street.

Shortly after, around 1:31 p.m., officers responded to West 4th Street in reference to a threats complaint, which was classified as aggravated menacing. That investigation is ongoing.

Car Fire Leads to Arrest

At approximately 8:32 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle fire on South Paint Street. Authorities report that an arrest was made at the scene for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Stolen Vehicle and Additional Warrants

Later in the evening, at 9:54 p.m., officers were dispatched to 609 Liberty Street in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle complaint. The investigation into the reported stolen vehicle continues.

Just before midnight, officers conducted a warrant check at 1078 Theatre Street, resulting in multiple arrests.

In total, Chillicothe Police logged nine reports on February 15 as officers continued patrol and investigative efforts across the city.
