
CHILLICOTHE, OH – A series of incidents kept Chillicothe Police busy on Sunday, June 22, 2025, with calls ranging from theft and domestic violence to a non-suspicious death and a possible overdose.
The day began just after 1 a.m. when officers responded to 500 Allen Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case.
Just minutes later, police were dispatched to 335 Chestnut Street in response to a possible overdose. Details have not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Around 5 a.m., officers were called to Fairway Avenue, where they discovered an unconscious person. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is currently considered non-suspicious, and no foul play is suspected at this time.
Later that morning, police were called to Lincoln Park on West 7th Street for a case of criminal mischief. The report did not specify the nature of the damage, and the investigation is pending.
In the afternoon, officers responded to multiple reports, including a fight at 19 Enderlin Circle, which resulted in the execution of an active warrant. At 61 North Bridge Street, a man was accused of menacing by stalking outside the Par Mar convenience store. Police say the incident remains under investigation.
Shortly before 4 p.m., a domestic violence call involving a juvenile brought officers to Cheyenne Drive. Authorities are continuing to investigate the situation, and further details were not immediately released.
Police also handled multiple traffic-related violations. At East 5th Street, a driver was stopped and cited for driving under suspension and failing to file for annual vehicle registration. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.
In the evening, officers were dispatched to 370 McKeller Street for an assault complaint. That incident is still under investigation.
Later, at East Main and South Watt Streets, officers encountered a theft without consent situation after observing a male sprinting down the middle of the road toward a police cruiser. The circumstances surrounding the event remain unclear as police work to identify the individuals involved.
In total, Chillicothe Police responded to 11 incidents throughout the day on June 22, reflecting a wide range of public safety concerns in the city.
