
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a wide range of calls throughout the day on Feb. 19, 2026, including criminal trespass complaints, a domestic violence incident, a forgery and theft investigation, and multiple traffic crashes.
Early Morning Calls
Shortly before 2 a.m., officers were dispatched to 812 Jefferson Ave. in reference to a disorderly complaint that resulted in a criminal trespass report.
At approximately 5:36 a.m., police responded to the area of North Shore Drive and Plyleys Lane for a motor vehicle accident. Details about injuries or citations were not immediately available.
Cybertip Investigation Opened
At 7:43 a.m., a detective initiated an investigation on North Paint Street after receiving an ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) cybertip involving alleged pandering obscenity. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
Trash Complaint and Trespass Report
Around 8:09 a.m., officers were dispatched to 364 E. 2nd St. regarding the removal of trash by the city. The matter remains under investigation.
Later in the morning, officers were called to 411 E. 2nd St. and North High Street for additional criminal trespass complaints. Those investigations are pending.
Employee Theft and Forgery Case
At approximately 12:18 p.m., police took a report of an employee theft at a private business on E. 7th Street. The case includes allegations of forgery without authority and theft without consent. The investigation is continuing.
Domestic Violence Reported
Officers responded to 78 W. 7th St. around 12:41 p.m. for an active domestic dispute. No further details about arrests or injuries were released.
Afternoon Crash and Disorderly Conduct
At 1:15 p.m., police investigated a crash on North Bridge Street involving a right-of-way violation while turning left.
Later, at 3:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Maple Avenue and E. 7th Street regarding juveniles involved in disorderly conduct, including fighting or threatening behavior. That investigation remains ongoing.
Evening Theft and Warrant
At 6:43 p.m., police responded to 85 River Trace Lane in reference to a theft complaint. The case also involved a warrant. Authorities said the investigation is continuing.
Another property damage crash was reported at approximately 8:31 p.m.
In total, the department documented 12 incidents in its daily media report for Feb. 19. Many of the cases remain under investigation.
