CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a variety of incidents throughout the city on Tuesday, Oct. 21, including theft reports, trespassing calls, and traffic violations, according to the department’s daily media log.

The day began with several traffic-related stops. Around 7:30 a.m., officers cited a motorist on Lille Street for failing to stop and sound a horn at an alley intersection, followed by a restricted U-turn violation on Yoctangee Parkway near Allen Avenue just 15 minutes later.

The first theft complaint came in at 8:37 a.m. from North Bridge Street, with officers noting that the investigation remains ongoing. Later that morning, police were called to East Main Street for a reported theft, as well as to Dollar General on Central Center for a disorderly customer. Both incidents were classified as criminal trespass investigations.

Additional reports throughout the afternoon included a found property call at the Law Enforcement Complex on North Paint Street, multiple theft complaints on South McArthur and North Bridge streets, and an incident on East Second Street involving a false alarm.

Officers also responded to several non-criminal incidents, including an agency assist on North Sugar Street and a juvenile-related report on Arch Street.

Later in the day, police were dispatched to Family Dollar on North Bridge Street for a theft report, followed by a warrant-related call at the BP gas station on North Bridge Street, where a man was allegedly harassing patrons for money.

The evening concluded with several trespassing complaints — one on Liberty Street and another at Homeland Credit Union on Consumer Center Drive involving a suspicious person in a restricted area.
