
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a series of incidents Thursday, December 4, ranging from theft complaints and warrant arrests to a non-suspicious death investigation, according to the department’s daily media log.
Officers began the early morning responding to a reported theft on East 7th Street. A report was taken and no further information was released.
Shortly before 9 a.m., police served a warrant on North Paint Street. Throughout the day, officers executed additional warrants, including one on Washington Avenue.
Later in the morning, police were dispatched to Roosters on North Plaza Boulevard for a disorderly conduct complaint, followed by another criminal trespass report at the BP station on North Bridge Street.
At 11:09 a.m., officers responded to the rear garage of a residence on Knoles Avenue after a possible death was reported. Police confirmed the death was non-suspicious, and an investigation is ongoing.
Around the same time, officers were called to the Chillicothe Mall for a stolen vehicle complaint. That case remains under investigation.
Additional calls included:
- Right-of-way violation at North Paint Street and West 5th Street just after 1 p.m.
- Protection order violation reported in the 600 block of East Main Street.
- Found property turned in at the Law Enforcement Complex on Madison Avenue.
- Theft complaint at the Speedway on North Bridge Street.
- Trespassing reports, including one at the Salvation Army.
- Crash report involving a right-of-way violation and expired plates on North Bridge Street.
- Disorderly conduct on Pine Street.
- Property damage reported on North Watt Street.
- Assault complaint on Eastern Avenue at 5:57 p.m.
In total, officers handled 20 calls documented in Thursday’s report. Several investigations remain ongoing.
