Chillicothe Police Respond to Thefts, Crashes, and Domestic Violence on October 20

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Oct. 21, 2025) — Chillicothe Police handled a busy day of calls Monday, responding to multiple thefts, crashes, and a domestic violence incident, according to the department’s daily media report released Tuesday.

The first call came in around 7:22 a.m., when officers were dispatched to 391 Mill Street for a parking violation near a crosswalk. The case remains under investigation.

Shortly after, at 9:44 a.m., police received a complaint on Ringwald Street involving a court order violation, which is also under investigation.

A theft without consent was reported at 93 North Rose Street at 10:17 a.m., followed by a crash report on East 7th Street just before 10:45 a.m.

Later in the morning, around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to West 7th Street for a criminal mischief complaint, while another crash was reported at East Main Street at 1:33 p.m., involving a driver failing to yield the right of way when turning left.

Afternoon calls included a theft report at 1075 North Bridge Street around 2:34 p.m., and a non-injury crash at North High and Mill Streets about 3:47 p.m., where one driver was cited for disobeying traffic control devices.

Police were also dispatched to Walmart on River Trace Lane at 4:49 p.m. for another theft, with the investigation ongoing.

Evening incidents included additional thefts at 265 Clay Street, Apartment 2 at 6:46 p.m., and 839 Adams Avenue around 10:07 p.m. Officers also handled a domestic violence report at 308 Harold Road at 7:04 p.m., and an unruly child complaint on Hildegarten Street just after 9:30 p.m.

At 9:45 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on East Main Street involving a driver who allegedly failed to comply with an officer’s signal to stop. A final call at 10:11 p.m. led police to 1049 Columbus Street for a criminal trespass complaint.

In total, 15 incidents were logged in the October 20 report, with several cases still under active investigation.
