In the early hours of the morning, officers were flagged down at the Pilot gas station on East Main Street in reference to a theft (Case PD-P2502850). Shortly after, a traffic stop was conducted on North Bridge Street for an expired plate sticker near the Nourse Automall (PD-P2502853), and officers responded to two separate warrant-related incidents, including one at the Ross County Jail (PD-P2502854).

Later, around 3:48 a.m., police were dispatched to 1111 E Main Street for a report of disorderly conduct involving criminal trespass (PD-P2502856). Another similar incident followed at 85 River Trace Lane (Walmart), which was ultimately determined to be non-criminal (PD-P2502857).

In the afternoon, officers were called to 6 Deerpath for a non-suspicious death involving a deceased female (PD-P2502859), while another case involving the gross sexual imposition of a victim under 13 was reported at police headquarters (PD-P2502860). That investigation remains ongoing.

Two separate thefts were also reported—one on East Main Street and another on Seney Road—as well as a disturbance on Eastern Avenue involving disorderly conduct (PD-P2502862). In traffic enforcement, multiple vehicles were cited for blocking intersections near Bridge and Pawnee Streets (PD-P2502863, PD-P2502866), and one driver was arrested at Bridge and Main for OVI, running a red light, and failure to control their vehicle (PD-P2502865).

Throughout the late afternoon and evening, police responded to a string of criminal trespass complaints at addresses including Mill Street, East Fifth Street, and Clay Street (PD-P2502868, PD-P2502867, PD-P2502869). Additionally, a welfare check at 894 Columbus Street led to the discovery of a warrant (PD-P2502870), and a citizen contact on South Mulberry Street resulted in an active drug possession and warrant arrest (PD-P2502871).

The day concluded with the arrest of Barbara Sandlin, who was taken into custody near the Valero gas station on North Bridge Street for an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Ross County Jail and ordered to serve 83 days (PD-P2502872).

Police say investigations continue in several of the reported incidents. No major injuries were reported in connection with the day’s events.
