
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media report for Wednesday, October 8, 2025, documenting a range of incidents from thefts and vehicle complaints to disorderly conduct and assault.
Officers were first called to Kroger on Western Avenue at 10:35 a.m. regarding a trespassing complaint. The investigation into the non-criminal incident remains ongoing. Later in the day, police responded to 12 Cheyenne Drive for a report of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, which is still under investigation.
Around 2:54 p.m., officers were dispatched to 1050 East Main Street for a theft complaint, followed by a hit-skip crash at McDonald’s on North Bridge Street shortly after 3:30 p.m. Both incidents remain under investigation.
At approximately 4:39 p.m., officers handled a civil issue on Pine Street, and at 5:07 p.m., responded to a two-vehicle crash at Western Avenue and University Drive involving assured clear distance.
Later in the evening, police were called to 153 Hirn Street for a disorderly conduct complaint involving loud or offensive noise, and at 574 East Main Street, officers investigated an assault that reportedly began as a theft complaint.
The day concluded with a crash on East Water Street around 8:54 p.m. involving failure to control; a separate crash report was filed for that incident.
In total, Chillicothe Police handled 10 separate cases throughout the day, with several investigations still ongoing.
