CHILLICOTHE, OH — July 4, 2025 — Chillicothe Police responded to a series of incidents across the city on Thursday, July 3, ranging from theft and traffic violations to a warrant arrest and a fireworks complaint, according to the department’s latest daily media report.
Here’s a summary of the key reports:
- Disorderly Conduct was reported twice early in the day, including one call on E. 4th Street for a suspicious person, and another on Washington Avenue that police say is under investigation as a potential death.
- A bike theft was reported on Columbus Street around 9:07 a.m., followed by a separate case of a recovered bicycle on S. Brownell Street just before 2 p.m.
- At 10:42 a.m., police responded to Cherry Street where a driver failed to yield and was unable to show proof of insurance.
- Around 12:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to a non-criminal complaint near N. Bridge Street and the Nourse car dealership; the nature of the complaint is still under review.
- Officers were called to Atomic Employees Credit Union on Western Ave around 2:47 p.m. for a criminal trespassing incident, where a man was found to have an active warrant.
- Police also responded to W. 7th Street for a trespassing call involving a woman in a backyard.
