A total of 18 cases were documented over a 24-hour period, according to the department’s daily media report.

Early in the day, officers issued a citation for disobeying traffic control devices. Later, around 2 a.m., they were called to 602 Lincoln Park on a criminal trespassing and mischief complaint. Just after 3 a.m., a disorderly conduct case was recorded on Mechanic Street.

Police also responded to a case of disorderly intoxication at Tiffin Towers on South Walnut Street around 7 a.m., followed by another trespassing incident in a hotel lobby on North Plaza Boulevard. A missing juvenile was reported on Prospect Street, and officers also investigated a dog bite on Safford Avenue.

A found cellphone was reported later in the morning, and a welfare check led to a disorderly conduct complaint on Maderia Avenue around noon. Multiple traffic stops occurred on North Bridge Street for violations including reckless operation and failure to stay within marked lanes.

One of the most notable incidents occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Fleet Street, where officers attempted to apprehend Preston Colter, who had five active warrants. Colter reportedly resisted arrest and obstructed officers before being taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.

In the evening, police responded to the homeless shelter on Eastern Avenue after reports of disorderly conduct, and to America’s Best Value Inn on East Main Street, where a woman refused to leave the premises.

Trespassing was again reported just before 10 p.m. at the Valero on North Bridge Street, and a sexual imposition case was logged near 11 p.m. on East 5th Street.
