
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — July 31, 2025 — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents across the city on Tuesday, July 30, according to the department’s daily media report.
Officers made multiple arrests during the early morning hours, including a stop on South Watt Street that led to an arrest for illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. Another traffic stop around 2:30 a.m. on North Bridge Street resulted in the arrest of a driver for multiple violations, including failure to stay in marked lanes and driving under suspension.
Later that morning, officers responded to a call about a suicidal male on Marietta Road. The investigation into that incident remains ongoing.
Two warrants were served during the day—one on North Paint Street and another shortly after noon on the same street.
A theft report was filed at a residence on Scioto Avenue, with police continuing to investigate. That afternoon, a missing person case was reported over the phone from North Paint Street, and a second case involving a missing juvenile was reported later that night from Mill Street. Both cases are still under investigation.
Traffic enforcement was active throughout the day, including a citation issued to a driver who blocked the intersection at Bridge Street and Pawnee Road. Officers also handled several accidents, including one at the Take 5 Car Wash on East Main Street.
Disorderly conduct involving a juvenile was reported on East 4th Street, and criminal mischief was investigated at Sherman Park.
Police also responded to the theft of a cell phone near West Main and Paint streets. That case, too, remains open.
In total, 17 incident reports were logged on July 30, spanning drug offenses, mental health concerns, traffic violations, thefts, and missing persons.
Chillicothe Police continue to investigate several of the cases and ask anyone with information to contact the department.
