Early Morning Report of Missing Person
The day began at 2:16 a.m. with officers dispatched to 209 Scioto Avenue regarding a missing person. A second report from the same location at 4:07 p.m. classified the case as involving a runaway juvenile and unruly behavior. Both incidents remain under investigation.
Disorderly Conduct and Warrants
Several calls for disorderly conduct were logged throughout the day, including reports at the Law Enforcement Complex, Family Urgent Care on N. Bridge Street, and addresses on Steele Street and W. 2nd Street. A suspicious intoxicated individual creating a risk of harm was also reported late Monday night.
Police also served multiple warrants, including one during a citizen contact with Charena Oiler near Washington and Jackson Avenues. Additional warrant activity was reported near Sherman Park.
Theft and Threats
A theft was reported at Rural King around 9:00 a.m., with another theft by threat complaint logged later that night at Enderlin Circle. Additionally, a woman contacted police at the Law Enforcement Complex reporting telecommunications harassment involving threatening messages accusing her of “calling 12” — a street term for the police.
Drug Offenses and Traffic Stops
A traffic stop at 8:41 p.m. on N. Bridge Street led to the recovery of suspected drug paraphernalia and drugs classified under Schedule I or II. Officers also conducted several traffic stops throughout the day for speeding and other violations, including along Main Street, McArthur Road, and Eastern Avenue.
Non-Criminal Incidents
Officers responded to multiple non-criminal calls, including a welfare check at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street and a possible hit-and-run on Vine Street. At this time, insufficient evidence has prevented further police action in those cases.
Domestic Dispute Ends the Day
At 10:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to Sycamore Street for a domestic disturbance. The incident involved possible criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and remains under investigation.
The Chillicothe Police Department encourages residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity. Investigations into many of these incidents are ongoing.
