
CHILLICOTHE, OH – July 22, 2025 — Chillicothe Police were kept busy on Monday, July 21, responding to a range of calls throughout the city that led to several ongoing investigations, including reports of disorderly conduct, theft, a missing juvenile, and a weapons-related arrest.
The day began early with a runaway juvenile report on Scioto Avenue. Charlynn Turner reported her grandson, Charlie Turner, had fled their home. Turner has legal custody of the child, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Later that morning, officers were dispatched to 475 Western Avenue to respond to a complaint of disorderly conduct. Another call regarding the misuse of a credit card was reported just before noon on East Main Street.
Police also handled two separate theft reports originating from Walmart on River Trace Lane, as well as an additional theft complaint on East Fourth Street.
A warrant-related call brought officers to Sack N Save on East Main Street in the afternoon, followed by a domestic dispute at a residence on North Brownell Street, which is under investigation for possible domestic violence.
Multiple disorderly conduct calls were also logged throughout the day, including one at Moe’s on East Main Street and another at North Poplar Street, along with a trespassing complaint on Laurel Street.
One of the most serious incidents occurred just before midnight, when a traffic stop involving a red Ford Focus resulted in a weapons charge and a warrant hit. Police reported the suspect was allegedly in possession of a weapon while under legal disability.
In total, 15 police reports were filed, including cases categorized as non-criminal such as mental health transports and welfare checks.
All cases remain under investigation, and Chillicothe Police continue their efforts to ensure public safety across the community.
