Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on Christmas Eve

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police were kept busy on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2025, responding to a wide range of incidents across the city, including traffic crashes, thefts, an overdose, and several disorder-related calls, according to the department’s daily media report.

Police began the day with multiple traffic-related incidents, including a failure to control/weaving complaint reported between 7:57 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., and a separate failure to yield at an intersection crash later in the evening. Officers also handled an accident report, with details referred to a crash report.

At 11:28 a.m., officers were dispatched to 536 Mill St., Grace Fellowship Church, in reference to a drug overdose. The investigation into that incident remains ongoing.

Additional calls throughout the day included a criminal mischief complaint reported at 11:35 a.m. on Enterprise Place Drive, and multiple theft complaints reported shortly before noon on North Bridge Street, involving incidents that allegedly occurred on Dec. 20 and Dec. 21. Those investigations are also continuing.

Officers responded to a warrant-related call at 1:02 p.m. near the Pickaway County line, followed by a theft from a motor vehicle reported at 739 E. Fourth St. just before 2 p.m.

Later in the afternoon, police were dispatched to 613 Central Center — Smoker Friendly — in reference to a criminal trespass and threats complaint. In the evening hours, officers responded to a disorderly conduct call on Akron Street, followed shortly by a report of endangering children on Warner Avenue, where officers were dispatched in reference to a juvenile.

The night concluded with additional criminal trespass complaints, including one at Family Dollar on North Bridge Street, and another incident reported on South Paint Street around 10:42 p.m.

In total, 13 incidents were documented in the Chillicothe Police Department’s Christmas Eve media report. Many of the cases remain under investigation.
