Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Including Drug Arrest, Thefts, and Disorderly Conduct

CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe police had a busy Sunday responding to a range of incidents across the city, including drug-related arrests, thefts, disorderly conduct, and traffic violations.

Early-Morning Traffic Stops Lead to Arrests
At 12:44 a.m., a traffic stop on Schreiner Avenue resulted in an arrest for possession of drug abuse instruments and an outstanding warrant. Another stop was made on North Bridge Street at 2:06 a.m. for expired plates, with the investigation still ongoing. At 2:30 a.m., a driver on South Watt Street was cited for driving with a suspended license.

Theft and Shoplifting Investigations Ongoing
Police were dispatched to a unit at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street at 9:36 a.m. to investigate a theft report. Later that afternoon, officers responded to a shoplifting call at Walmart on River Trace Lane. Both cases remain under investigation.

Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing Reports
Several calls involving disorderly individuals and trespassing were logged. At 3:36 p.m., officers were called to a North High Street residence regarding a trespassing complaint, where a woman was reportedly barred from the property. Another disorderly conduct call came from Park Street around 4:44 p.m., with police responding to a fight and possible trespassing.

Warrants and Welfare Checks
A subject was taken into custody on Akron Street around 4:19 p.m. on an active warrant. Officers also conducted a welfare check near Riverside Street and North Hickory Street earlier in the afternoon.

Suspicious Items and OVI Arrest
Staff at a business on North Bridge Street contacted police at 6:07 p.m. after discovering a hypodermic syringe on the premises. The incident is under review. Later, around 8:19 p.m., officers arrested a driver on U.S. Route 104 for OVI (Operating a Vehicle while Impaired) and failure to obey a traffic control device.

In total, the Chillicothe Police Department logged 14 incidents for the day. Several investigations remain active.
