Chillicothe Police Respond to Multiple Incidents Including Domestic Violence Arrest and Theft Investigation

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents across the city on March 28, 2026, according to the department’s daily media report.

Officers were first dispatched just after midnight to the 500 block of West 5th Street for a disorderly conduct complaint involving an intoxicated individual. Later in the morning, police responded to another disorderly conduct call in the 1000 block of North Bridge Street. That incident was resolved without charges.

Around midday, officers handled an overnight parking complaint on East 5th Street, which remains under investigation. Shortly after, police were called to a business on North Bridge Street for a disorderly situation at a drive-thru. A report was taken, and no further action was noted.

In the early afternoon, officers responded to a private property crash involving a driver leaving the scene. Additional details were not immediately released. Around the same time, police were dispatched to Whaley Place for a welfare check tied to a warrant investigation, which remains ongoing.

During the evening hours, officers were called to Dollar General for a criminal trespass complaint. That investigation is continuing. Police also responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Western Avenue and Plyleys Lane.

Later that night, officers were dispatched to River Trace Lane for a reported theft. No suspect information has been released, and the case remains under investigation.

One of the more serious incidents occurred just before 9 p.m. on East 5th Street, where officers responded to a domestic violence call. Police reported that an arrest was made at the scene.

The day concluded with another disorderly conduct call involving an intoxicated individual late Saturday night.

In total, Chillicothe police handled 11 incidents throughout the day, with several cases still under investigation.
