CHILLICOTHE, OH — Chillicothe police officers responded to a wide range of calls throughout the city on January 10, 2026, including disorderly conduct complaints, arrests on outstanding warrants, domestic-related incidents, and multiple theft investigations.

Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to South Brownell Street for a reported assault. The incident resulted in charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct, with the investigation still ongoing. Minutes later, officers conducted a traffic stop on North Bridge Street that led to an arrest on an outstanding warrant.

Additional disorderly conduct calls were reported overnight and throughout the day, including incidents on Western Avenue near the Cozy Inn, East Second Street near the Pour House, Columbus Street, Church Street, and North Bridge Street. Several of these cases remain under investigation.

Police also handled multiple warrant-related traffic stops, including one on Cutright Drive in the early morning hours. In another significant incident, officers responded to Laurel Street for a reported domestic dispute involving allegations of unlawful restraint. That case remains under investigation.

Juvenile-related activity was reported on Church Street during the afternoon, while later in the evening officers encountered a suspect on North Bridge Street and South Walnut Street, leading to drug possession and obstructing official business charges following a bicycle stop for improper nighttime lighting.

Theft investigations were also reported at Walmart on River Trace Lane and at Sherman Park, with police continuing to investigate both incidents.

Chillicothe police say several of the cases from January 10 remain active as officers work to gather additional information.
