Chillicothe Police Respond to Drug, Vandalism, and Trespass Cases on August 14

CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a range of incidents on Thursday, August 14, including drug investigations, vandalism, trespassing, and harassment complaints.

The day began shortly after 2 a.m., when a detective in an unmarked vehicle initiated a case involving possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance.

Around 7:30 a.m., officers were in the 1600 block of North Bridge Street investigating stolen trash can lids in connection with a warrant. That same morning, a found bicycle was reported in an alley near East Main Street.

At 12:32 p.m., police responded to Mary Lou Park for a criminal mischief report involving property damage. Less than an hour later, a telecommunications harassment complaint was made at the Kohl’s store on River Trace Lane.

In the mid-afternoon, officers issued a traffic citation for driving left of marked/continuous lines, then responded to a disorderly conduct call on East Water Street.

At 3:45 p.m., police investigated a criminal trespass at 1 Consumer Center Drive, followed two minutes later by a vandalism complaint on West 7th Street. Another criminal mischief report was filed at 4:13 p.m. on East Main Street.

Later in the day, detectives opened a trafficking in drugs investigation involving the alleged sale of controlled substances within the city.

Several of these cases remain under investigation.
