Chillicothe Police Respond to Drug Trafficking, Vehicle Theft, and Multiple Disturbances on May 13

CHILLICOTHE, OH – May 14, 2025 – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a range of incidents across the city on Monday, May 13, according to the department’s daily media report. From traffic violations and theft to drug trafficking and disorderly conduct, a total of 18 cases were recorded throughout the day.

🚔 Key Incidents from May 13:

  • Stolen Vehicles at Chillicothe Truck
    Police were dispatched around 2:30 a.m. to 173 S. Renick Ave, where multiple vehicles were reported stolen. The case is currently under investigation as motor vehicle theft and criminal mischief.
  • Drug Trafficking Investigation Launched
    A detective began an investigation into suspected drug trafficking involving cocaine within the city limits. The operation is ongoing and part of an expanded effort to curb narcotics activity.
  • Nude Man Causes Public Disturbance in City Park
    Around 6:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of a naked male possibly under the influence of drugs near the fishing area of the City Park. The man was allegedly causing a disturbance, prompting a disorderly conduct investigation.
  • Warrant Arrests
    Several individuals were taken into custody for outstanding warrants, including a man arrested at the Fayette County Jail for failure to appear on theft charges. He was transported to the Ross County Jail to await his court appearance.
  • Semi-Truck Accident on Pawnee Rd
    At 5:11 p.m., a semi-truck and trailer caused property damage during a traffic incident on Pawnee Road. The driver was cited for failure to control and disobeying traffic signals.
  • Unlawful Restraint on Pawnee Rd
    Just before 10:00 p.m., police responded to 212 Pawnee Rd after a third-party report of a possible assault and unlawful restraint. The incident remains under investigation.
  • Theft Reports and Trespassing Complaints
    Multiple theft and trespassing incidents were reported throughout the day, including at locations on River Trace Ln, N. Bridge St, and N. Plaza Blvd. Several investigations are still ongoing.
  • Unruly Juveniles and Harassment Cases
    Police also responded to reports of unruly juveniles, a trespass complaint at Golden Corral, and telecommunications harassment at the Fairfield Inn.

🚨 Additional Traffic Stops & Citations:

  • A traffic stop on E. Main Street resulted in a citation for driving without a reinstated license.
  • Another stop on Main St at Bridge St led to a citation for failure to display both license plates.
