Chillicothe Police Respond to Drug, Theft, and Domestic Incidents Over the Weekend

Chillicothe — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of calls on Saturday, August 30, ranging from drug-related offenses to domestic disputes and a missing person report, according to the department’s daily media log.

The day began with a complaint of littering from a motor vehicle on Stone Trace Drive around 7:30 a.m. Later that afternoon, officers were dispatched to Washington Avenue in connection with a domestic situation that was reported from North High Street.

At 4:52 p.m., police located a stolen vehicle on North Bridge Street, where they also reported drug possession involving a Schedule I or II substance. Less than an hour later, officers were called to South Bridge Street and East 7th Street for a welfare check involving a disorderly individual, who was cited for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

Additional calls included a criminal trespass complaint at 35 North Bridge Street around 7 p.m. and a missing person report from Allen Avenue just before 7:30 p.m.

Police were also dispatched to Walmart on River Trace Lane shortly before 8 p.m. for a shoplifting case. The suspect was accused of both theft by deception and drug possession.

All of the incidents remain under investigation, and no further details have been released.
