
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a series of varied incidents on December 2, according to the department’s daily media log released Wednesday. Calls ranged from found property to dog bites, disorderly conduct, vehicle break-ins, and a reported burglary.
Just before 1 a.m., officers recovered found property in the area of Mosher Drive and 2nd Street. No criminal activity was reported.
At 2:32 a.m., officers responded to a residence on East 4th Street for a mental health–related call. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
Around 3:38 a.m., officers were called to the 900 block of Columbus Street for an assault complaint. The parties involved were contacted, and the situation was resolved on scene without further action.
A report generated around 8 a.m. was later listed as an error, with no response needed.
At 10:22 a.m., police were dispatched to 823 Adams Avenue for a reported dog bite. The incident remains under investigation.
Minutes later, at 10:24 a.m., officers responded to the Par Mar (Amoco) station at 61 N. Bridge Street for a disorderly conduct complaint. That investigation is still ongoing.
At 11:44 a.m., officers were called to the Moose Lodge on East Main Street after two parked vehicles on the lot were reportedly broken into. Police are continuing to investigate the vehicle trespass and criminal mischief.
A second dog bite was reported at 11:59 a.m. on Walnut Hills Drive. That case also remains under investigation.
At 12:13 p.m., officers responded to Enderlin Circle for a property-damage complaint. No further details were given, and the investigation is ongoing.
Later in the afternoon, at 4:44 p.m., police issued a traffic citation for failure to obey traffic control devices.
The day’s most serious call came at 6:40 p.m., when officers responded to a reported burglary at 304 Riverside Street. Police took a report at the scene. No additional information has been released.
In total, Chillicothe officers handled 11 calls for service in Tuesday’s report.
