Chillicothe Police Respond to Disorderly Conduct, Crash with Injury and Domestic Incident

CHILLICOTHE, OH – Officers with the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout the day on April 7, 2026, including disorderly conduct complaints, a crash with injuries, property damage, and a reported domestic violence case.

Early Morning and Morning Calls

Police were first dispatched around 2:40 a.m. to Steele Street for a report of a disorderly individual allegedly intoxicated and creating a risk of harm. That case remains under investigation.

Later in the morning:

  • Officers responded to Dayton Street for a reported trespassing incident
  • A call on East Main Street initially reported as a possible assault led to a warrant-related investigation

Authorities say all incidents remain under investigation.

Road Rage and Ongoing Complaints

At approximately 11:30 a.m., officers were called in reference to a road rage incident that occurred on Western Avenue near Kroger. The complaint was reported from South Hickory Street, and the investigation is ongoing.

Additional calls included general complaints on Consumer Center Drive and North Rose Street, both of which are still being investigated.

Crash with Injury and Retail Incident

In the afternoon, officers responded to a crash with injuries near North Bridge Street and 8th Street. The incident involved a failure to obey traffic control devices and a driver leaving the scene. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.

Shortly after, officers were dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods on North Bridge Street for a shoplifting complaint. Two suspects were detained, issued trespass warnings, and later released without further incident.

Property Damage and Domestic Violence Report

Police also handled multiple property damage-related calls, including:

  • Chestnut Street, where criminal damaging was reported
  • North Brownell Street, involving a criminal mischief complaint

Both cases remain under investigation.

Later in the evening, officers responded to Sherman Park for a reported domestic violence incident. Authorities said the situation was no longer active upon arrival, but the investigation is continuing.

Late-Night Disturbance

The day concluded with a late-night disturbance call on East 2nd Street just before midnight. Officers responded to the scene, and the incident remains under investigation.
