Chillicothe Police Respond to Crashes, Shoplifting, Assault, and Trespassing on September 3

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (Sept. 4, 2025) – The Chillicothe Police Department logged 17 incidents on Wednesday, September 3, according to the department’s daily media report.

Among the calls:

  • Hit-Skip Crashes – Officers responded to multiple private property accidents, including a hit-skip reported at the Pilot Travel Center on East Main Street around 12:22 a.m. and another on North Bridge Street just before noon.
  • Auto Accidents – Crashes were reported at Arch and Fairway, Church Street, and North Bridge Street throughout the day.
  • Shoplifting – Around 11:28 a.m., police were called to Walmart on River Trace Lane after a female suspect was observed concealing merchandise in her purse. The case remains under investigation.
  • Assault – An assault was reported in the 300 block of East 7th Street at 1:32 p.m. Officers are investigating.
  • Disorderly Conduct – Officers were dispatched to 11 Iroquois at 3:58 p.m. after reports of fighting or threatening behavior.
  • Trespassing – Two separate trespassing complaints were investigated, one at North Bridge Street around 1:29 p.m. and another involving a female suspect at 761 East Main Street around 5:39 p.m.
  • Unruly Child – Police responded to a call on Keller Road regarding an unruly child at 4:42 p.m.
  • Court-Related Call – A contempt of court issue was reported on East 4th Street just after 6:00 p.m.
  • Traffic Stops & Warrants – A patrol in the East Main/North Bridge area led to a traffic stop for a license plate violation and driving under suspension. Later, a warrant was served on North Paint Street at 8:14 p.m.

Other reports included a civil issue at Jerry’s Tire on North High Street, found property at Chillicothe Fire Department Station 1, and additional disorderly conduct investigations.

The Chillicothe Police Department continues to investigate several of these cases.
